How it works

A journal that judges the process, not the outcome

Log, measure, refine — the loop every disciplined trader runs, in one place. Works across forex, metals, indices, stocks, crypto, futures and commodities.

1

Log with the checklist

Every trade is graded against the five rules — bias, time & price, liquidity, confirmation, entry model — in under a minute.

2

See the truth in your data

Win rate, equity curve, rule adherence and track-record metrics — computed from your own ledger, not someone else's screenshots.

3

Refine. Repeat.

Find out which setups, sessions and mistakes produce your best and worst results — then trade the plan and measure the execution.

The Five Rules

Every rule, in the order the market demands them. Skip one, and the setup is not a setup.

1

Directional Bias

15min

Establish the day's bias before anything else — read market structure, volume profile, and buyer/seller interaction on the 15min.

Markets open with intent. Read the daily structure — higher highs or lower lows — and let it decide which side of the auction you stand on.

2

Time & Price

EST +4

Only execute during killzones — 2:00–5:00am London or 7:00–10:00am New York (EST, +4 local). Time is part of the setup.

Smart money operates on schedule. The London and New York killzones are where the day's real move is engineered — everything else is noise.

3

Liquidation

Wait for the sweep. Price must run the liquidity resting above a high or below a low — a sweep of internal liquidity — before you act.

Before any real move, resting liquidity is taken. A sweep of the Asian high, session low, or previous day's extreme is your green light.

4

Reversal Confirmation

1min / 5min

Require a Change of Character (CHoCH) or Break of Structure (BOS) confirming the shift on the 1min or 5min — never front-run it.

A sweep alone is not a signal. Wait for the Change of Character that confirms the shift — never front-run the institutions.

5

Entry Model

5min

Enter only from a valid Order Block, FVG, or iFVG on the 5min with a clearly defined point of invalidation.

Refine the entry into an Order Block, Fair Value Gap, or inverse FVG. Small risk, defined invalidation, and room for price to travel.

Hold yourself to them

The SMC Ledger journal scores every trade you log against all five rules — then shows you whether your discipline is actually paying.
